Ashland Avenue Baptist Church is located at 483 West Reynolds Road in Lexington Kentucky. While in March of 2008 we began meeting in a new Great Commission Center A.A.B.C. has a heritage rich with the gospel of Jesus Christ that began over 90 years ago.
 
In 1916 a group of believers began meeting in a small school house in Lexington. In that same year the tiny church of less than 30 people called Clarence Walker to be its pastor. Just 6 years later they were meeting in a new building on Ashland Avenue that had been constructed by God’s grace through their tears, prayers and incredible sacrifice. 50 years later Clarence Walker was still the pastor of Ashland Avenue (1916-1966) and God had transformed that tiny band of believers meeting in a schoolhouse to a mighty congregation that was reaching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
